Idiotic Gushing Gestures;
Presently, the group consisting of the two protagonists and two supporting characters of this chapter were in Rush Valley. The two of the supporting characters, Winry and Alphonse were busy with their own business. The blonde haired female was running from shop to shop in a split second gushing at the different auto-mails that they displayed. The giant suit of armour, Alphonse, scared a few who he walked past but in reality as he innocently chased after stray cats.
Meanwhile, one of the protagonists of this chapter, a male too short for his age, Edward, glared off into distance with displeasure and anger spelled all over his tan-skinned face. He grumbled as he chewed on his food, his eyebrows furrowed in wrinkles and his automail clenching and unclenching in distaste at the sight before his eyes; which made his heart feel heavy with a maliciousness scorning, and an ugly burning.
What was the sight that made Edward's heart feel like it was burning, your curiosity ponders?
It was the sight of his crush conversing with a guy; a tall guy whom, from Edward's perspective, she seemed to be complimenting for his gigantic height.
"Stupid titan, who cares if he's tall?! With that height he's probably brainless as a grass having his head up in the clouds all the time. I might be short, at least I'm intelligent," Edward grumbled under his breath, glancing at the plate beside him, and then glaring at it with displeasure.
"It's not my fault I'm short," Edward muttered insecurely, scoffing. "It's not my fault I can't be tall like him-"
"-Tall like who?" A voice inquired, leaning next to the grumbling Edward, their face merely inches away from his. Edward froze amidst of his actions, his eyes widening in surprise. Slowly, like a broken machine working, he turned his face towards the source of the sound to see the familiar hue of twinkling [E/C] eyes.
Edward's eyes widened more in surprise before his gaze shifted from [E/C] eyes to glossed, soft, lips for a split second and then back to [E/C] eyes. The lack of distance between him and the person before him finally sank in; causing his face to explode red as his heart began to flutter like a breathless fish out of water.
"[N-Name-"
"Were you feeling insecure about your height again?" The female before him questioned, a pout forming on her lips. Her question caused Edward's eyes to widen, before he scoffed.
"Why would I be insecure about my height?! It's not like I was jealous -" The male stopped talking in the midst of his sentence when he felt soft lips make contact with his somewhat rough skin.
"Good, because I like you the way you are; short and cute... Chibi-chan~" The female, [Name] said winking, before she ruffled Edward's soft golden locks, chuckled and nonchalantly walked away. Meanwhile, the blond she had pecked has turned into a furiously blushing mess, with a expression mixed of annoyance and embarrassment etched on his face.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING CHIBI-CHAN?! COME BACK HERE SO THAT ITS AN EQUIVALENT EXCHANGE OF AN INSULT FOR AN INSULT AND A KISS FOR A KISS!" He shouted, running after the female, who he has caused to freeze with his response, and in equivalent exchange become a blushing mess like him
